Aaron Milavec holds a doctorate in Systematic and Historical Theology from
the Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley, CA). He has been a seminary and
university professor for twenty-five years, and currently serves as Chair
of the new program unit of the Society of Biblical Literature: "The Didache
in Context." He has published and lectured widely. His thousand-page
volume, The Didache: Faith, Hope, and Life of the Earliest Christian Communities,
50-70 C.E., received a 2004 Catholic Press Association award recognizing
the best books in theology. Beginning in 2000, Milavec has pushed aside his
lecturing/publishing as a theologian and has embraced his primordial calling
as an artist.
